About the London Eco Champion Awards
The London Eco Champion Awards celebrate the incredible people, schools, and organisations who are working tirelessly to make London a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable city for everyone to enjoy.
The competition is organised by The London Clean Air Initiative and is a not-for-profit community event.
Award Categories
These awards honor dedicated environmental work from every generation and various sectors of our city, shining a light on ecological commitment across the entire local community.
Mini Warriors
Celebrating young eco-heroes aged 5–11 who are doing amazing things to protect the planet at home, at school, or in their community.
Junior Heroes
Celebrating inspiring teenagers aged 12–17 who are leading the way on climate action and making a real difference in their schools, families, and communities.
Local Leaders
Recognising adults aged 18+ who are leading by example and driving meaningful environmental change in their workplaces, neighbourhoods, or wider communities.
Super Schools
Celebrating schools that are empowering students and staff to take climate action, reduce their environmental impact, and inspire whole-school change.
Impact Businesses
Recognising small businesses and community groups that are creating a positive environmental impact and helping to make their local area cleaner, greener, and more sustainable.
Nomination Process
Step 1: Identify the Champion
We invite you to recognise an individual or organisation in London who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable practices. Remember, self-nominations are also welcome!
Step 2: Submit Your Nomination
Complete our nomination form with detailed information about the nominee's achievements and their impact on the local London environment.
Step 3: Review & Selection
A dedicated selection committee will evaluate all submissions against a set of criteria to determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category.Â
Step 4: Awards Ceremony
All finalists will be notified and invited to an Awards Ceremony. The evening will include talks and presentations, and run through each category, announcing 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
2025 Judging Panel
The London Eco Champion Awards are decided by an independent panel of leading environmental experts and community advocates.
