The London Eco Champion Awards recognise the visionary individuals, schools, and organisations leading the charge toward a carbon-neutral future. We celebrate those who turn environmental challenges into sustainable triumphs for our city.
Supported by The London Clean Air Initiative, these awards are a non-profit beacon of excellence for grassroots sustainability and urban ecological innovation.

Celebrating young eco-heroes aged 5–11 who are doing amazing things to protect the planet at home, at school, or in their community.
Celebrating inspiring teenagers aged 12–17 who are leading the way on climate action and making a real difference in their schools, families, and communities.
Recognising adults aged 18+ who are leading by example and driving meaningful environmental change in their workplaces, neighbourhoods, or wider communities.
Celebrating schools that are empowering students and staff to take climate action, reduce their environmental impact, and inspire whole-school change.
Recognising SME's and community groups that are creating a positive environmental impact and helping to make their local area cleaner, greener, and more sustainable.
Nomination Process
Step 1: Identify the Champion
We invite you to recognise an individual or organisation in London who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable practices. Remember, self-nominations are also welcome!
Step 2: Submit Your Nomination
Complete our nomination form with detailed information about the nominee's achievements and their impact on the local London environment.
Step 3: Review & Selection
A dedicated selection committee will evaluate all submissions against a set of criteria to determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category.Â
Step 4: Awards Ceremony
All finalists will be notified and invited to an Awards Ceremony. The evening will include talks and presentations, and run through each category, announcing 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Leo's Animal Planet
Mini Warriors
At just 11, Leo had raised over £10,000 for conservation through his wildlife YouTube channel, while rewilding his street, school and local spaces with wildflowers, nest boxes and habitats for bees, butterflies and birds.

Junior Heroes
15-year-old Inaaya had inspired thousands of young people through her environmental campaigns, represented over 11,000 young people as Deputy Member of Youth Parliament for Redbridge, and helped make her school more sustainable through her own Eco Leaders group.

Local Leaders
Lola and the Climate Champions at Paddington Development Trust are bringing their community together through local nature projects, events, education and practical climate action - from transforming neglected spaces to creating a seasonal community cookbook.
St Robert Southwell
Super Schools
The school has embedded sustainability across everyday school life, from reducing single-use packaging and running a pupil-led Eco Refill Shop to growing food, creating wildlife habitats and encouraging the whole school community to take action.
Surplus to Supper
Impact Businesses
Powered by more than 200 volunteers, Surplus to Supper rescues surplus food that would otherwise go to waste and redistributes it to local charities, while also providing nutritious meals and affordable surplus food through its kitchen and community market.
